Shanghai Gruman International Fire Equipment Co., Ltd. was established in March 1989. Its predecessor, Shanghai Fire Equipment Factory, was founded in 1918. Currently located at No. 3332 Shengang Road, Songjiang District, Shanghai, the company has a registered capital of 196 million yuan and covers an area of 49,700 square meters, with a construction area of 52,000 square meters. The company is one of the earliest enterprises in China to be designated for the research, development, production, and sales of fire trucks and other special vehicles. It is a key enterprise in China’s fire truck industry and holds qualifications for the production of fire trucks with tank structures, special structures, and lifting structures (listed as item (IX) 23 in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s Catalog of Automobile Products); it is also recognized as a weapons and equipment production unit by the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, having long been engaged in the research, development, and production of special vehicles such as chemical defense vehicles for the military.
