Choosing the right lap-joint flange is essential to provide a complete, durable, and safe connection method; When selecting a pipe flat welding flange, please follow these standards (dedicated flanges for lap-joint style butterfly valves):
1.The inner diameter of the connection part of the water pipeline must be the same as the inner diameter of the rubber joint.
2.The flange connected to the water pipeline must have a smooth and flat flange contact surface to ensure maximum sealing space (as shown in the figure below). If the rubber joint does not have a tight connection with the water pipeline contact surface, noise, insufficient pressure, and leakage may occur.
As shown in the diagram, using dedicated flanges will achieve a 100% sealing effect. With 100% sealing, the rubber sealing surface will not leak or even rupture.
