We arrived at the entrance of SAIC Volkswagen’s third factory a little after 8 in the morning, waiting for entry. Photography inside the workshop was not permitted, so I can only share my observations verbally. The workshop, though vast, gave me a sense of order amidst the complexity. Workers were diligently carrying out each step of the process with great responsibility. To me, it was not just about enabling us to drive safely on the roads, but also about how their work nurtured them. The slogan ‘Work Cultivates People’ left a profound impression on me.

The company was founded in October 1984, making it one of the oldest automotive joint ventures in China.
