【Quality and Control】QT450 Ductile Iron Flange Easily Passes 20-Ton Pressure Test

Shanghai Songjiang Vibration Absorber Co., Ltd. is pleased to present our quality control measures. In our Nantong Testing Center, we conducted a 20-ton pressure test on QT450 ductile iron flanges to ensure product quality. The test results were satisfactory, with no cracks found.

Introduction to QT450 Ductile Iron:

QT450 ductile iron exists in the form of carbon with spheroidal graphite. Its mechanical properties surpass those of gray cast iron and approach those of steel. It exhibits excellent casting, machining, and wear resistance, with some elasticity. It is widely used in the manufacturing of crankshafts, gears, pistons, and various mechanical parts.

As a ferritic nodular cast iron, QT450 has high toughness and plasticity. It transitions from toughness to brittleness at low temperatures, but its low-temperature impact value is high, and it exhibits certain resistance to sudden temperature changes and corrosion. It finds extensive applications in agricultural machinery for plowshares, plow columns, differential gear housings, and in general machinery for valve bodies, high and low-pressure cylinders, and even in steel caps for power transmission lines.
